Bike Show

Special Notes:Bikes classified at 9:00am. Staging occurs from 12:30pm to 2:00pm. Judging and Awards immediately follows staging from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.


For this year’s Wing Ding Bike Show entrants will have their bikes classified on July 3rd, at 9:00am – 11:00am with staging beginning at 12:30pm and judging and Awards immediately following. Award plaques will be presented at the end of the judging.

A Bike Show participant cannot enter more than one class.

Photos of Winners: At the conclusion of the event, first-prize winners of each category will have their photos taken for Wing World magazine. A volunteer will guide winners to the photographer’s nearby location and take names and bike category for correct identification of the photos.

Bike Show Classification Definitions


Class Definitions

Stock Class
  1. Entry as built by Honda.
  2. Pin striping allowed if from factory.
  3. Aftermarket seat allowed as long as it utilizes factory appearing materials (no special colors, textures or animal hides)
  4. Addition of chrome items/accessories will be allowed.
Custom Class

Stock entries plus any of the following items:

  1. Pin striping
  2. may also include painting techniques between pin striping to a maximum of 3/4” in width regardless of application method (example – narrow graphic designs)
  3. Any single piece of artwork covering an area no larger than 2”x3” regardless of application method will be allowed (artist signature/logo will not affect class)
  4. Solid color repainted items/panels – color to match bike or accent color
  5. Any metal items powder coated or otherwise color changed (will not include clear coat applied for protection only)
  6. Custom seat materials or seat covers (example – special colors, textures or animal hides)
  7. Any type of Etching
  8. Any slogans or personal logos (owner name/nickname excluded)
  9. Wood grain or carbon fiber appliques
Artisan Class

Stock class entry plus any of the following items:

  1. Bike completely repainted non-original color
  2. Entries containing artwork (murals, pictures, or decals) regardless of application method
    o any single panel containing art larger than 2”x3” or
    o multiple panels containing art
  3. Wing Bling type panels with textures (bubbles, animal print, etc).
  4. Painting between pin striping more than 3/4” in width, regardless of application method (example – wide graphic designs)
Special Show

Stock class entry plus any of the following items:

  1. Any entry which utilizes additional display items such as, but not limited to, mascots, animals, fencing, carpets, mats, mirrors, literature, placards, music, lighting, etc.
  2. Display of more than 3 flags or any flag larger than 6”x9”, regardless of number

GL1000 Specifics

  • CLASS I – Stock“Bare” GL1000 with original or reproduction paint (color / stripe / logo) scheme on body panels, OEM stock seat, wheels, and exhaust system.
    Note: For safety reasons, the addition of plexishields are allowed. Additional chrome is allowed. Any change or additions to the stock paint scheme will move the motorcycle to Class III.
  • CLASS II – CustomFull or partially dressed GL1000 with original or reproduction paint (color / stripe / logo) scheme on body panels. Full or partially dressed would consist of any one or all of the following additions to the motorcycle:
    – Full or Sport Fairing, Saddlebags, Trunk, Luggage Rack
    – Color match on touring accessories not required
    – Additional chrome allowed
    – Any changes or additions to the stock paint scheme will move the motorcycle to class III
  • CLASS III – ShowAny GL1000, bare or dressed, with body panels, which have been altered in any way from the original or reproduction pain (color / stripe / logo) scheme. This includes paint of non-stock color, lack of or changes to stock stripes or logos, any additional artwork such as stripes, scrollwork or murals.

Notes
  1. A homebuilt trailer is a one-of-a-kind homebuilt trailer shown with or without motorcycle.
  2. State inspection decals, military decals, and parking permit decals should not change any class.
  3. Classes 1 through 4 may be trailered to the event. All other bikes must be ridden to the event.
